Music Video Change – 1/12/2016
We decided on the 1/12/2016 to
change the song we were going to use for our music video. Originally we had
chosen to use Teenage Dirtbag by Wheatus, however after a recent survey with an
audience between ages 17-18; it was revealed they thought it was too close to
the original music video. Not wanting to go on that idea we tried several ways
to think how we could change the music video, and after several attempts we
couldn’t pick an idea for the music video so instead decided to change the
song.
Picking a new song wasn’t
particularly easy as none of us could pick a song from the previous list we had
made, so we decided to put our names on sticky notes and pick between a list of
three that we had all chose and narrowed the choices down to U Know You Like
it, Panic at the Disco we was then left with Locked Away by R. City ft Adam
Levine. We decided on this song due to the story behind it and the way that it
can be told. Unlike with Teenage Dirtbag we were only able to tell one type of
story line with the music video, however with Locked Away there are multiple
story lines we could have gone with and we decided to do a Bonnie and Clyde
theme, playing on the idea of these criminals.
