Research on Ancillary Tasks

Research on Ancillary Tasks

We have done research into our theme of 'Bonnie and Clyde' for our music video, in our film we were planning on using props to add a concept theme to our music video. While we want it t be a narrative as well (meaning it tells a storyline) using the concept themes such as symbols of violence mean we can make it more interesting to appeal to more of our target audience.

Bonnie and Clyde's infamous death scene involved them getting shot at the end of their run, they were pronounced dead at the scene and their car was filled with bullet holes. In the plan of the ancillary tasks we are hoping to have bullet holes as if they have shattered glass, this way we can relate our digipak and music video together. The use of bullet holes is important to the story of Bonnie and Clyde as they played an important rule in how their robberies and killing spree's came to a complete end.

Here is Bonnie's original gun, she carried this everywhere she went, it plays a significant part in Bonnies and character and how we modernised here for this role. Making her the strong woman who carries out these plans, rather than it being Clyde. Defeating the stereotypes based on women being the Damsel in Distress.
