This could be because it is clothes that the main target audience would wear, which would attract the people who would enjoy the music. Artists are usually portrayed as happy; this could be because pop music tends to be uplifting, and so if they were not seen as happy it would not fit the music. Lyrics are usually about love or relationships; this could be because it is a worldwide theme that a lot of people can relate to so it may widen their audience. They often associate with teens, as that is the main target audience of pop. They also tend to follow the current trends, instead of doing something unique.
