Flashbacks
There are several editing techniques that we plan to use, one of them being we plan to create flashbacks, one of the music video's we are looking at using is Justin Bieber's Next 2 You ft Chris Brown.
The music video starts off with Justin and his girlfriend talking when her dad finds them together and takes her away, a couple of shots later and the sky is falling along with buildings and cars exploding, it is then when the flashbacks start, and there are a short bust of flashbacks happening throughout the film for both love story narratives.
Cross-cutting
Another editing technique we liked was the use of cross cutting. There is a lot of cross cutting in Locked Away since there is several story lines going on, however in our music video we would want to keep it down to one story line, but lengthen it out using the flashbacks to throwback to different scenes.
