Analysis of Adverts

There are several kinds of adverts they all come into play and help bring in a wider target audience while trying to sell their products. The aim of the game is to attract as many consumers as they can while appealing to the majority that would require the product they sell at.

What kind of adverts are there?

There are several kinds of advertising, and they all require different methods of practice and can be important to attract different kinds of audiences.

Types of advertising...

  • Broadcast Media - Television and Radio, television means the product and advertisements can reach a wider audience. Radio however is more suitable for smaller businesses as its more affordable.
  • Print Media - Magazines and Newspapers are two forms of traditional print media. Magazines mean they can provide to a wider spread of audiences depending on the where they decide to advertise. While newspapers are cheaper to advertise in, you have to have a universal product for it to work.
  • Support Media - Is where a business will advertise their product through additional media such as billboards, transits, bus benches. They offer a wider range of audiences in local or regional audiences.
  • Direct Marketing - This is direct mail, email and telemarketing. Telemarketing is where you're able to survey customers on the products. Direct mail where postcards can contain relevant information about your products and email is where you can send emails with exclusive offers to subscribers about these products.
  • Product Placement - Product Placement is one of the newest forms of advertising, it can be done involving multiple media forms, such as through posts on social media sites, through music videos as well as films. This is where a company will pay to have their products shown in medias such as music videos to help promote the name of the company. This can use well known actors or public personalities to help promote their film.
  • Internet - The internet has one of the largest forms of audiences for company's to promote on, this means using pop up ads, banners, text ads and paid search placements, they pop up on a number of pages that the business has paid for.
